Park at the Priest Camp Historic Park, a fifty-acre area that served as a major encampment along the Okanagan Brigade Trail and is now preserved for its historical significance.
From the parking area, follow the gravel road for 3 km, taking the right at each of two forks. Near the fenced FortisBC gas valve, you will find interpretive signs that mark the beginning of a short hike to the L’Arbre Seul lookout. This point offers an incredible sweeping view of Okanagan Lake, providing a perfect spot for reflection or capturing photographs of the stunning landscape. Along the trail, you’ll encounter more interpretive signage that tells the tales of historical meetings between fur traders and the Aboriginal people of Southern BC—a story also depicted in a mural at Summerland’s IOOF Hall on Main Street.
