Summerland Fall Fair
Event Details
Location
The Summerland Fall Fair is held every September to celebrate agricultural heritage and modern farming. This event features live music, arts & crafts, flowers, and farm produce including preserves, eggs, and honey. There is participation of all ages and from local schools and community groups. Attendees can enjoy exhibitions at the Ryga Centre, live music on the lawn, the popular Zucchini Race, petting goats, face painting, and exploring booths from non-profits, farmers, and food trucks. It’s a fun event for the whole family that showcases local talent and celebrates the harvest season.
Additionally, the Grade 5 Garden Contest encourages young gardeners to get involved. To participate, students must register by June 1, 2024, pick up seeds from Windmill Garden Centre in May, and then plant and tend their gardens. Judges will visit the gardens in July, and prizes will be awarded based on appearance, productivity, and creativity. Awards will be presented at the George Ryga Arts Centre on September 14, 2024, at 3:30 pm.
